I just delete that plugin, scary experience for me.

Plugin Summary
Every time you make a post on your blog it grabs similar posts from other blogs that allow pingbacks using the post tags. It then links to them at the bottom of the post as similar posts. It then executes the pingback on all the posts. You can specify how many posts to do per tag and that many will be done for each tag you use in your posts. Typically it has about an 80% successrate with each pingback and they are legit so the ones that fall into moderation tend to get approved. This creates quite a few deep links for each blog post you make and through time really helps with your link building. Especially for new blogs.

Auto Ping Function? Great!! It can pull crowds to my blog and automatically leave comments!

The Auto function is both a pro and a killer. When i clicked published, the plugin will automatically scans for blogs to leave comments, and occasionally it will hang my blog. And this is however not the main reason for me to delete Ping Crawl wordpress plugin.

For my previous post – “my-first-affiliate-marketing-project” ,  posting was a nightmare. As ping crawl wordpress plugin searches other blogs for keywords, and the keywords for my post was “affiliate marketing”, it hangs my blog. Secondly, it duplicate and repeats the same pingback over and over again.

To the extend that even when i deactivate the plugin, the trackback will still continue! As my previous post was short, you can imagine my horror when i log in in 2 mins and saw that the related blogs are longer than my posts!

I tried to reinstall the plugin, deactivate and reactivate the plugin and  republish, but the problem of long list of trackback was not solved. Til i had no choice but to delete away this plugin.

This plugin is a great plugin if you used tags with uncommon keywords. However, if you want to use this plugin with extemely common keywords. Be warned!
