google’s home page ranking PR7

My site, the site you are reading now PR 0

Google Page Rankings are assigned to you by google. The ranking goes from NA-10, effectively is NA,0,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10

The higher your number the more important your website is to the internet community. That is what the number implies.

As image above, google homepage has a ranking of PR7 which is considered extremely high, which mine has a page rank of 0 or known as NA

You cannot see the toolbar that i have? go to toolbar.google.com to download. Only for IE users and firefox users.

The rest? Suck thumb! They are just not available.

Proceed to download the toolbar and soon you are able to see which webpages are important in google’s eye.

How is google page ranking calculated?

Well, it is decided by the amount of backlinks to your webpage.

What is backlinks?

As the name states, it is the amount of other webpages clicking to you! Scroll up, and refer back to toolbar.google.com Did you notice that it was a live link? Meaning when you click on it, a new window popup and brings to the toolbar page?

Well i did a backlink to the page toolbar.google.com  and that is a backlink!

However not all backlinks are created equally. Imagine my page linking to google and intel’s page linking to google, which one is more important? As of writing this post, intel.com has  google page rankings of Pr8.

Of cos, anyone knows, its intel! Thus, intel.com has more “backlink juice” than me.

No one knows how exactly google page rank is calculated and this is kept hush-hush by google themselves. But logically, this is the algorithm.

The more high backlink juice to your site, the higher your webpage is to google, which increases your google page rankings.

Still too complicated? Lemme explain

If 10 PR1 sites do a backlink to you, probably you are a tweety little bit important. But if 10 PR8 sites link to you, your webpage is certainly important. Catch the idea?

To google, PR8 are already important websites in google’s point of view. And your webpages must be important  if such important websites link to you.  Logical?

Hence, from the linking of 10 Pr 8 sites, google might immediately assign you a PR2 or even PR3 while if 10 Pr 1 sites link to you, probably google might assign you a PR1 or PR0

Well, if you do not have quality, make it up it quantity!

Instead of having only 10 PR1 to link to you, get 100 Pr1 to link to your website. 100 not enough? Get 1000! That will assist in your increasing your page rank too! This is what i meant by quantity.

However, no matter the PR, every single link counts. So start accumulating today!!
