Google Caffeine – The New Google Coffee Search Engine

Nope, it is not a new coffee brand by google. Will google caffeine makes you addicted to google? Maybe yes and maybe no.

For Internet marketers whose site went up the ranking, they will be addicted to it. For those that went down, probably they must be thinking that this google coffee tastes bitter.


Why Google Caffeine? The new search engine?

Well, it has been years since google really revamped their system. Google caffeine is said to be faster, get you more results within a shorter period of time.


Well, google results are already fast enough, how fast do they want to go?


Anyway, here is 1 small experiment which i have conducted to check the differences between the old and new google search engine.

Notice the time to get the results? click on image if it is too small


The old google takes 0.33 seconds, while the new google uses 0.21 seconds.


And within a much shorter time, the new google search engine display 5.48 million results, while the old google display 5.39million results.


Shorter time, more results!


And seems like the new caffeine prefer keyword phrases in the URL, look at the top 4 results in the new search engine. They all contain the words dinosaur and 3 out of 4 contains dinosaur park!

Do you smell that google is cooking?


I think i smell it!

If you are already an Internet Marketer, compare your keywords against the new engine, this will get results from both the old and new search engine and you can see the difference

I think i will be liking this new google caffeine a lot. I did some keywords check and my ranking for some keywords rose significantly.


It’s positioning using the above URL is a bit off, but close enough. I have checked against the tool, and my new keyword positioning was off by 1 -3 ranking, but it is insignificant.
