Day 88 – Benefits Of Affiliate Marketing Vs Adsense

This thought suddenly came into my mind today. Why some people prefer affiliating marketing over adsense and vice versa.
They are both 1 time work. Setup the site, and leave it to earn money.
Affiliate Marketing
Can be setup with PPC
Large amount of commission
Need to buy auto responder for list building.
Low conversion, not everyone buys.
Google dislike sites created for AM which are merely to sell products and provide no real content benefit to users.
Adsense Marketing
High CTR if the format is “correct”
Dependent on natural search engine traffic
Unable to work with PPC
Adsense account lifespan dependent on google’s mood
Liked by google if site provides great value to end users
Low earnings
“Stable” Income
Seems like Adsense has more cons than affiliate marketing. However, it is a business which is highly dependent on the amount of web pages and sites you have.
You need around fifty clicks to cover back the cost of your domain name, if each click earns you only $0.20. However, a sales of a $20 e book with 50% comm easily covers the domain cost.
though it has more disadvantage, i still prefer using adsense for now. Probably when i have more success with AM, then who knows, i might just switch over
